Welcome to Toad Hill Toddler House!
On Nov 2nd, 2020, Toad Hill Toddler House was established as a satellite location to Toad Hill Children’s House.
Nido (Infant) Environment (3 months – 18 months, steady walkers) Our youngest children begin in what Montessori called the Nido Environment. Nido the Italian word for nest. Up to eight children are given ample space to develop and grow in a safe and loving environment. This program is led by Miss Britnye.
Toddler Environment (18 months – 2.5/3 years) Our young toddlers are encouraged to explore and learn through hands-on experiences that foster independence and self-direction. The space is designed with natural materials and open-ended activities that allow toddlers to choose their work, developing confidence and a sense of responsibility. Whether indoors or outdoors, children engage in student-led activities like caring for plants, exploring textures, or practicing practical life skills, all at their own pace. This approach nurtures their curiosity, builds a deep connection to the natural world, and supports the development of essential life skills. This program is led by Miss Caitrin.
